Join Electrical Consultants, Inc. (ECI) as a Senior Industrial Automation Engineer. ECI, a leading engineering firm, delivers engineering, system planning, technical consultation, project management, and construction services to the industrial, electric utility, power plant, and energy development sectors across the U.S.
We have an immediate opening for an experienced Industrial Automation Engineer. The successful candidate will lead Automation & System Integration engineering services in manufacturing and power generation environments.
Responsibilities- Program PLCs and other automation devices, including Rockwell, GE, and Emerson systems.
- Configure network switches and develop logic diagrams & electrical drawings.
- Design, configure, and support Human Machine Interfaces (HMI).
- Conduct technical reviews of drawings and device settings.
- Collaborate with project teams to meet fast‑paced schedules.
- Support remote and hybrid work options for qualified candidates with extensive automation experience.
- BSEE, BSEET, or MSEE preferred; BSME, BSMET, or other relevant degrees considered.
- 4+ years of direct experience in industrial automation or process control (or a combination of education and experience).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organization, planning, and teamwork abilities.
- Commitment to quality, accuracy, and project deadlines.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for client engagements.
- Must not require sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H‑1B) now or in the future.
