Physical & Life Science Teacher at Hall Dale High School

RSU 2 is currently seeking a highly qualified & certified Physical/Life Science Teacher. The successful candidate will demonstrate being student-centered with a strong grasp of content knowledge, including best practices in science instruction, the ability to teach students who have diverse backgrounds, an understanding of standards-based assessment, the ability to use technology in instruction, willingness to be a team player, and support the Mission, Vision and Values of the RSU 2 District.

Candidate will teach Chemistry & Environmental Science:
Ideally Anatomy, Physiology and DE Biology.

• Bachelor’s degree
• The ability to teach a wide range of Physical/Life Science courses in grades 9-12.
• Training and/or experience in a standards-based system.
• Training in Advanced Placement Science courses is a bonus.
• Experience/certification in teaching both Physical and Life Science is a bonus.

Valid Maine teaching certificate in area of study required.

Based on teacher position experience and in accordance with the  wage scale in the teacher bargaining agreement: $45,630 [BA, step 1] - $84,537 [MA+15, step 23], prorated from start date. The complete contract year is 181 days.
