Position
Orono High School is seeking a full-time dynamic and student‑centered educator to join our science faculty and work with students in grades 9‑12.
The ideal candidate recognizes the rapid pace at which our world is evolving, is passionate about the sciences, and has an eagerness to design and offer learning experiences that support students’ pursuit of empowerment through deep knowledge, skills mastery, and connection to the world and community in which they live.
The course assignment for this position will include primarily introductory Biology courses, with the possibility of additional science electives (such as Science Inquiry) and/or computer science electives (such as Robotics or Data Literacy).
Maine educator certification in a science is preferred, but other certified/certifiable candidates with aptitude for subject matter and willingness to pursue professional certification will also be considered.
