MSAD 75 is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional to join our vibrant educational community. Together, we can inspire the next generation of learners and leaders.

30 Hours Weekly

Hourly Pay: $22.66 - $26.87

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Instruct individual and or small groups of students under the indirect supervision of a teacher
• Prepare instructional materials
• Review and reinforce learning previously introduced by classroom teacher or designee
• Manage behavior according to IEP and behavior plans
• May be required to assist students with mobility constraints, included but not limited to lifting students

REQUIREMENTS:

• Three years of post-secondary education or combination equivalent to 90 hours of approved study
• Valid State of Maine Department of Education Educational Technician I, II or III Authorization.
• Valid State of Maine Department of Education background check (CHRC) authorization.
• Experience working with Middle School students preferred
• Strong behavioral management skills, ability to consistently follow and implement positive behavior support plans
• Demonstrated record keeping skills
• Proven ability to function as a team member
• Must be physically capable of lifting up to 50+ lbs.

• Climbing Up & Down Stairs: 1-2 hours
• Reaching Overhead: 1-2 hours
• Bending/Twisting: 3-5 hours
• Kneeling/Crouching/Crawling: 1-2 hours
• Hands/Arms/Finger Dexterity/Hand Gripping: 6-8 hours
