The Collaborative School seeks a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (preferred) or an LMSW-CC with a strong clinical background for a full-time, day treatment position (school-year calendar with limited summer) in the Middle School Classroom. The Collaborative School is a division of The Maine Special Education Mental Health Collaborative and is a Special Purpose Private School licensed by the Maine Department of Education and DHHS.
The Collaborative School specializes in the treatment and education of students in grades K-12 with mental health diagnoses, including mood disorders, complex trauma, Autism Spectrum Disorder Level I, and attachment disorders. Staff at The Collaborative School receives cutting edge professional development opportunities in innovative practices and approaches in both mental health and education. We have ongoing consultation with Allegra Hirsh-Wright, LCSW (trauma, TF-CBT).
Staff are encouraged to advance professionally in the fields of social work, psychology, and/or education through course reimbursements and workshops.
Applicants should be interested in working within a multi-disciplinary mental health special education team. Social work involves individual, group, and family work.
