Serving Maine’s Midcoast communities of Bowdoin, Bowdoinham, Harpswell, and Topsham, MSAD 75 is home to over 2,350 students and more than 600 faculty and staff members.

MSAD 75 is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional to join our vibrant educational community. Together, we can inspire the next generation of learners and leaders.

Position will remain open until a suitable candidate is hired.

• Work with students with complex support needs, including developmental and functional skills.
• Instruct individual and/or small groups of students under the indirect supervision of a teacher.
• Prepare instructional materials.
• Review and reinforce learning previously introduced by classroom teacher or designee.
• Manage behavior according to IEP and behavior plans.
• Supervise students during lunch and recess.

• Three years of post-secondary education or combination equivalent to 90 hours of approved study.
• Valid State of Maine Department of Education Educational Technician I, II or III Certification
• Valid State of Maine Department of Education background check (CHRC) authorization.
• Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) certification preferred.
• Mandt trained or ability to train.
• Strong behavioral management skills, ability to consistently follow and implement positive behavior support plans.
• Demonstrated record keeping skills.
• Proven ability to function as a team member.
• Must be physically capable of lifting up to 50+ lbs.
