Position SummaryJefferson Village School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our Early Childhood team. This role focuses on fostering a nurturing, safe, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for children ages 3–5. The Preschool Teacher will collaborate with colleagues to implement curriculum, support social-emotional growth, and engage families in the learning process.
Responsibilities- Plan and implement daily lessons aligned with early childhood standards.
- Support children’s cognitive, social-emotional, and physical development.
- Maintain classroom routines, safety, and organization.
- Collaborate with staff, families, and administration.
- Assess and document children’s progress and communicate with families.
- Degree or certification in Early Childhood Education Endorsement is 081 or 282B.
- Experience with preschool-aged children preferred.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Commitment to inclusive, equitable, and developmentally appropriate practices.
- First Aid and CPR certification preferred.

Jefferson Village School is a K-8 community school located on the north shores of Damariscotta Lake. We are 30 minutes to Augusta, Rockland, and the Pemaquid Region.
