The successful candidate will bring vision, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to excellence in athletics, student development, and community engagement.

NYA is a member of the Maine Principals’ Association for many sports. Boys and girls ice hockey and girls field hockey compete in the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC), and NYA will transition boys basketball to NEPSAC competition beginning in the 2027–2028 school year.

As NYA continues to expand its boarding program and recruit students regionally, nationally, and internationally, the Athletic Director will play a key role in strengthening program visibility, enhancing the student-athlete experience, and positioning NYA athletics as a distinguishing feature of the school.
