Job DescriptionThe ideal candidate will possess:
- Experience building positive relationships with students and supporting student success
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with Administration, Guidance, general education teachers, and parents
- Knowledge of differentiating instruction to meet the various needs of all learners
- Background in social emotional learning (SEL)
- Certification in English or Social Studies - preferred

Alternative Learning Environment
- Responsibilities include:
- Providing individualized academic, social, and emotional supports
- Planning and implementing whole group, small group, and individualized instruction
- Working collaboratively with school- and community-based counselors, teachers, administrators, and parents in developing and maintaining the overall educational plan for students
- Preparing standards-based lesson and unit plans to correlate with student academic needs
- Keeping accurate documentation regarding student progress, needs, strengths, etc. (i.e., grades, observations, anecdotal records, other related data)
- Organizing community service projects
- Creating hands‑on projects to meet standards
- Creating program schedule
- Working with Guidance Department to create student schedules
- Serving on various teams & committees as needed
- Maintaining regular communication with student’s homes
- At least 1 year(s) of relevant experience preferred.
- Bachelor degree preferred.
