Welcome to Maine School Administrative District #75. Serving Maine’s Midcoast communities of Bowdoin, Bowdoinham, Harpswell, and Topsham, MSAD 75 is home to over 2,350 students and more than 600 faculty and staff members.

MSAD 75 is seeking a Long Term Kindergarten Teacher Substitute at Bowdoin Central School to join our vibrant educational community. Together, we can inspire the next generation of learners and leaders.

DATES: March 27, 2026 - May 11, 2026

PAY RATE: $268.50/Day

Position will remain open until a suitable candidate is hired.

• Exhibit passion and a commitment to helping all students learn at a high level.
• Contribute to a school culture of appreciation, collegiality and innovation.
• Utilize skills to be successful with intensive collaboration in a team-based approach to teaching and learning.
• A strong understanding of research-based Literacy and Mathematics instruction at the primary level, and the deep understanding of early literacy development and the components of balanced literacy preferred.
• Strong communication skills with students, colleagues and parents.
• All other non-teaching duties per Teacher’s Contract.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Elementary Education.
• Valid State of Maine Department of Education General Elementary (020) Certification.
• Valid State of Maine Department of Education background check (CHRC) authorization.
  
  Commitment to continuous self-improvement and learning.
• Experience with Teachers College workshop model highly preferred, and Marzano’s elements of effective teaching practice preferred.
