Infant Toddler Teacher at Serving Schools
We are seeking an Infant Toddler Teacher for our Early Head Start Classroom at the Jay Early Learning Center. This position is 40 hours and year‑round.
Pay and Benefits- Pay Range: $18.42–$19.42/hour, depending on education and experience.
- Eligible for additional monthly wage supplement through the State of Maine Early Childhood Educator Workforce Salary Supplement Program: $240, $360, or $540 monthly.

- Paid Time Off (up to 18 days for full‑time employees).

- Plan activities and tailor curriculum to meet children’s social, emotional, physical, literacy, and cognitive development.
- Communicate with and support families to meet their children’s and families’ needs.
- High School Diploma or GED is required, with commitment to complete an agency‑paid Child Development Associate credential program or enroll in approved college coursework or a program that will lead to an Associate degree within two years of hire.
- Associate’s degree is preferred.
Experience in an early childhood setting; ability to function autonomously and as part of a team; excellent communication skills; considerable stamina to regularly lift, bend, carry, and perform other high‑energy activities; competency with Microsoft Office; ability obtain and maintain current CPR and First Aid certifications. Pre‑employment physical, SBI, DMV, Maine Sex Offender Registry, DHHS fingerprinting, fraud, and federal debarment background checks must be completed upon offer of hire and as a condition of employment;
valid driver’s license and travel within the service area is required.
