Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Program Assistant to support our academic and workforce students, instructors and programs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including intake processes with students, assessments, learner and teacher support, and maintaining accurate enrollment data. This position will also assist instructors in the classroom. Some evening work is required. Proficiency in technology is essential.
Part-time position.
- Intake and Assessment:
Facilitate the initial intake process for new learners, including collecting necessary paperwork and administering initial assessments. - Learner Support:
Provide assistance to learners, addressing their needs and helping them navigate program resources. - Teacher Support:
Assist instructors with collaborative instruction, classroom management, materials preparation, and technology usage. - Technology Utilization:
Use and maintain educational software and platforms to support program delivery and administration. Assistance with maintenance of student devices. - Data Management:
Enter and track learner data, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records. - Event Coordination:
Assist in organizing and coordinating events, workshops, and information sessions. - Resource Management:
Ensure the availability and distribution of educational resources and materials. - Communication:
Serve as a point of contact for learners and teachers, providing timely and effective communication. - Evening Support:
Provide support during occasional evening classes and events as required. - Program Marketing:
Help promote academic and workforce programs as requested.
- Education:
Minimal Associates degree, Bachelors preferred. Experience or training in education or a related field is preferred. Teaching certification or be eligible for Ed. Tech III or higher certification. - Experience:
Previous experience in an educational, advising, or administrative role is advantageous.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and educational software;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Versatility using, learning, and supporting technology is essential.
Availability:
Must be available to work some evenings as required.
