Maine Health is seeking full‑and part‑time Hospitalists for permanent positions at Pen Bay Medical Center (PBMC) in Rockport, ME and Waldo County General Hospital (WCGH) in Belfast, ME. PBMC and WCGH are both hospitals in the Maine Health network, a 9‑hospital healthcare system that includes Maine Medical Center, the largest tertiary hospital in the state. New hires will receive inpatient privileges at both PBMC and WCGH but may designate either facility as their "home" institution for the majority of their shifts.

PBMC is a 99‑bed facility with a broad array of specialists available both locally and via the Maine Health One Call system. WCGH is a critical access hospital with fewer local specialists, but the same level of support via the Maine Health system. Both hospitals are located along the mid‑coast of Maine, an area rich with natural beauty, local agriculture, and endless outdoor recreation opportunities on land and water.

• MD/DO from an accredited medical school
• Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Board Certified/Board Eligible
• Active and unrestricted State of Maine medical license or ability to obtain prior to employment
• Current BLS and ACLS certified

• Full‑time and part‑time opportunities available
• Work alongside other Hospitalists during daytime hours
• Average daily rounding census of 9‑15 patients per Hospitalist
• Work
  12‑13 shifts per month
• Flexible block schedule of 4, 5, or 7 days, depending on your needs

• Annual schedule established well in advance, so you can plan your outside life
• Epic EMR

• Practice ICU‑level medicine with on‑site critical care/intensivist consulting support
