We are looking for you to join our team as a Part‑Time Administrative Assistant at Poplar Place in Springfield, IL
!
- Providing timely and professional responses to phone calls and emails.
- Welcoming tenants and new applicants and guiding them through the application process.
- Distributing application materials, conducting interviews, and conducting background and credit checks.
- Managing leasing tasks such as lease signings, preparing financial statements and invoices, and performing other administrative duties.
- Maintaining accurate wait and transfer lists; reviewing applicant files to determine eligibility.
- Supporting site and office operations as assigned by the manager.
- Part‑time paid time off (3 days!) – we value your life outside of work.

- Anticipated salary: $20.00–$25.00 /hr.
- Annual performance bonus.
- This position is non‑exempt, meaning eligible for overtime pay.
This range is a general guideline and reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary depending on a variety of factors, including the candidate’s qualifications, geographical location, and specific responsibilities of the role. In addition to salary, this position may be eligible for performance bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
Final compensation offers will be determined following a thorough assessment of the candidate’s background and the requirements of the position.
Qualifications- Prior experience in the affordable housing industry (preferred but not mandatory).
- Ability to obtain a leasing license within 120 days of hire.
- COS/TCS preferred but not required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A proven track record of managing complex operational tasks.
