Overview

We’re looking for a highly organized, proactive Account Coordinator to join our client service team. This is a foundational, client-facing role designed to support our Account Managers and Project Managers in keeping projects moving, communication tight, and clients confident in the work.

In this role, you won’t be expected to own a full portfolio right away. Instead, you’ll play a critical support role across multiple accounts, helping manage timelines, document action items, coordinate across teams, and ensure nothing falls through the cracks. You’ll gain exposure to strategy, marketing execution, budgeting, and client communication while building the skills needed to eventually manage accounts independently.

This is a great opportunity for someone early in their agency or marketing career who thrives on structure, loves organization, and wants a clear path toward becoming an Account Manager.
Maine-based applicants preferred, hybrid roles considered.

About Anchour

Anchour is a creative agency of 33 and growing, focused on building unforgettable brands and digital experiences that help businesses punch above their weight. Headquartered in Maine, we specialize in serving SMBs and startups across industries like consumer goods, home services, financial services, retail, and professional services.

As a full-service agency, we offer strategy, branding, website design, development, copywriting, and performance marketing solutions. At Anchour, we believe in cultivating an inclusive environment where creativity, curiosity, and collaboration thrive.

What You’ll Do

As an Account Coordinator, you'll own a portfolio of client accounts and serve as a supporting force on larger, more complex engagements alongside our Client Service team. You'll be the person who keeps things moving: following up, closing loops, managing timelines, and making sure nothing slips.

  • Support Account Managers: Assist with client communication, scheduling meetings, drafting agendas, sending follow-ups, and ensuring consistent, professional touchpoints.
  • Support Project Managers: Help track tasks, update timelines, coordinate with internal teams, and make sure deliverables stay on schedule and organized.
  • Keep Projects Moving: Monitor task flows, follow up with stakeholders, and ensure nothing falls through the cracks across strategy, design, development, and marketing teams.
  • Run Efficient Meetings: Document discussions, summarize next steps clearly, and help maintain tight feedback loops so clients always feel informed and confident.
  • Manage Scope and Budgets: Assist in tracking retainer hours and project budgets, flag potential scope creep early, and elevate risks before they become larger issues.
  • Communicate Marketing Value: Build working knowledge of digital marketing channels and support reporting efforts by helping translate performance updates into clear client communication.
  • Coordinate Internally: Ensure teams are prepared for meetings, have the right assets and information, and remain aligned on priorities and deadlines.
  • Grow Into Client Ownership: Take on increasing levels of responsibility over time, with the opportunity to independently manage client relationships as you develop in the role.
What We’d Like To See

We’re looking for someone with a combination of strategic insight, exceptional communication skills, and a deep understanding of integrated marketing campaigns.

  • Relevant

    Experience:

2–4 years in account management, project management, or client services at a creative, branding, or digital marketing agency. Candidates without agency experience will not be considered.
  • A Documented Track Record of Self-Direction: You should be able to point to specific examples, and real situations where you identified what needed to happen and made it happen before anyone asked. This is the most important thing we're looking for.
  • Project Exposure: Experience supporting or running marketing or design projects, either in-house or at an agency, is a strong plus.
  • Strong Communicator: Clear, polished written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable interacting with clients and internal teams in a professional setting.
