About Maine School Administrative District No. 33
MSAD No. 33 serves students in grades PreK-12 in St. Agatha, ME, home of the Long Lake Fishing Derby, one of the largest fishing derbies in the state. The district has two schools under one roof, Wisdom Middle/High School and Dr. Levesque Elementary School, a 2018 National Blue Ribbon School. The district is also home to the St. John Valley Technology Center, serving students from MSAD
33, MSAD
27, and the Madawaska School Department.

Job GoalTo assure the smooth and efficient operation of the guidance office so that the needs of students, staff, and community are met.
Responsibilities- Serves as receptionist for the guidance office and provides coverage for the main office receptionist. Forwards communications to appropriate personnel.
- Maintains general appearance of the guidance office area.
- Maintains records relating to all students.
- Tracks, monitors, and maintains accurate student attendance records and ensures compliance with school and state attendance requirements.
- Inventories and processes requisitions for guidance office supplies and equipment.
- Prepares and distributes schedules, agendas, bulletins, memos, etc. for the guidance office.
- Assists with the coordination of parent, 504, & IEP meetings, notes, and other items the administration may assign.
- Collects and forwards data required for local, state, and federal reports to appropriate District personnel.
- Administers first aid and dispenses medication (as instructed by the school nurse) when the school nurse and main office secretary are not available.
- Performs other such duties as assigned by the director of guidance and the building principal.
- Maintains confidentiality related to all aspects of student and staff performance, written records, and oral communications.
- Demonstrates respect for the rights of students, staff, and parents.
- Follows health and safety procedures established by the District.
- Arrives and departs punctually, and promptly notifies the building principal when s/he is to be absent.
- Demonstrates loyalty, dependability, and integrity, as well as other ethical standards.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Advanced training and/or successful experience in office practice.
- Strong characteristics of cooperation, flexibility, initiative, and industriousness.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
- Ability to get along well with others, to function as a member of a team, and to help in solving problems.
- Ability to communicate and interact effectively and deal tactfully with students, staff, and the public.
- Proficient writing skills.
- Demonstrable proficiency in computer and office technology, and a strong willingness to acquire and improve relevant technical skills.
