Position Summary: Directs daily activities for operational functions, grants, contracts, funding and proposal submissions.
PrimaryDuties & Responsibilities
- Holds responsibility for day-to-day activities related to fiscal and administrative management, contracts, center and grant funds, multicomponent grants and subcontracts. Functions as the liaison between centralized grants administration and the lab to ensure all projects are funded appropriately and completed as planned.
- Monitors funds closely and provides projections and recommendations for resource allocations to grants and project/center funds to best use and plan resources for the lab. Coordinate with lab leadership, department, and centralized grant administrators to ensure funds are received, profiled, used, and closed appropriately.
- Coordinates and plans with PI, grants admin, and lab and department leadership for lab and center related financial management concerns.
- May assist with preparing submissions, especially related to budgeting and planning for future projects. This may include establishing or enhancing various contracts and contact with other centers, PIs, collaborating groups, etc., to facilitate collaboration and exchange of information for planning purposes.
- Assures adherence to grant, IRB and WashU accounting, and department guidelines for associated grants, projects and funds.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
