Pay Rate: £31,500 plus an additional 20% payment for hours worked between 10pm and 6am.

Shift patterns: 4 on, 4 off 6pm - 6am

Rapier Employment is seeking a Transport Night Supervisor to play a vital role coordinating our daily logistics requirements.

• Oversee and support the performance of drivers to ensure they meet the established Key Performance Indicators.
• Ensure all transport operations are carried out in compliance with safety regulations and legal requirements, while maintaining operational efficiency.
• Make necessary changes to daily transport plans if issues arise to ensure smooth operations.
• Proactively address and resolve any issues related to transport operations or coordination with the warehouse to minimize delays and maintain productivity.
• Lead daily briefings and debriefings with drivers to communicate important updates, safety information, and expectations for the shift.
• Manage driver performance to identify any major discrepancies in accordance with the Daily Transport Plan.
• Ensure drivers and the fleet comply with all relevant legal, safety, and operational standards, ensuring smooth and lawful operation throughout the shift.
• Communicate events and foreseen road closures between sites. Communicate to senior members of the contract to ensure knowledge is shared.

• Previous and practical experience as a Transport Supervisor or Team Leader within a logistics environment – Essential.
• Comprehensive knowledge of supply chain practices – Essential.
• Previous experience of the preparation and distribution of volume orders.
• Computer literate with a practical knowledge of logistics software packages.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to supervise, organise and train direct reports.
• A recognised qualification in Supply Chain Management or Logistics will be well‑received.
