HGV Technician

Our Client is seeking a qualified and experienced HGV Technician to join their esteemed team in Ashford, Kent.

Duties:

Conduct routine servicing, inspections, and repairs on a diverse fleet of heavy goods vehicles
Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults
Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company standards
Utilise modern diagnostic tools to identify vehicle issues accurately
Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repairs undertaken
Assist in MOT preparation and vehicle defect rectification
Provide support during emergency breakdown situations as required

Requirements:

Proven experience as an HGV Technician or in a similar heavy vehicle maintenance role
Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, diagnostics, and repair techniques
Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently
Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
Full UK driving licence
Own tools are preferred but not essential
High level of reliability, attention to detail, and commitment to safety and quality standards
