NPD Technologist
Location:
Headcorn, Kent
Salary: £28,000 Per Annum
Hours:
Full-time, Permanent

About the Role:
Our client, a well‑established food and drink manufacturer with multiple sites across Kent, is seeking a proactive and enthusiastic NPD Technologist to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Food Science graduate who is passionate about innovation and eager to develop hands‑on experience within a supportive environment.
You will play a key role in helping develop new beverage products, working closely with production, technical and quality teams. This role involves regular travel between sites, supporting trials, product testing, and project coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the development of new products, from concept to launch.
* Assist with production trials, samples, and product testing.
* Collaborate across departments to support technical documentation and launch timelines.
* Manage NPD administration tasks, including one day per week working from home for admin duties.
* Travel between manufacturing sites, transporting samples and materials as required.
About You:
* Degree in Food Science or a related discipline.
* Full UK driving licence with access to your own vehicle.
* Strong interest in food manufacturing, product development, or innovation.
* Excellent communication, organisation, and teamwork skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.
* Any experience in NPD, food manufacturing, QA, or lab work is beneficial but not essential.
