Contracts Manager - AMP8 Water Framework South East (Kent, Sussex & Hampshire)

An established water industry contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager to support the delivery of AMP8 framework works across the South East. This role sits within a major water programme and will involve the management of several concurrent projects, typically valued around £1m per scheme.

This is a key commercial and delivery-focused position, working closely with clients, project teams, and subcontractors to ensure successful framework performance.

The Role As Contracts Manager, you will take full responsibility for the commercial and contractual performance of AMP8 projects, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with framework obligations.
Key duties include:

• Leading the commercial and contractual management of AMP8 water projects
• Overseeing multiple live projects across the region
• Managing subcontractor performance, variations, and change control
• Monitoring risk, cost, and programme to ensure successful delivery
• Acting as a key point of contact for client and stakeholder engagement
• Ensuring compliance with NEC contracts, health & safety standards, and framework requirements
• Providing commercial support and guidance to project and site teams

About You To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A minimum of 10 years' experience in a Contracts Manager or senior commercial role
• Demonstrable experience delivering £1m+ projects within the water sector
• Strong knowledge of AMP frameworks, with AMP7/AMP8 experience essential
• Background working for a Tier 1 or Tier 2 regional water contractor
• Excellent working knowledge of NEC forms of contract
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
• A full UK driving licence
