The Opportunity
Are you a strategic thinker who thrives on the rhythm of a live construction site? My client do not just build structures; they deliver excellence through precision and collaboration. To contunue their expansion they are looking for a proactive Contracts Manager to act as the central nervous system of projects-ensuring that all sites, commercial teams, and supply chains move in perfect synchronicity.
In this role, you won't just be "tracking" progress; you will be driving it. You will be the main point of contact for Site Managers, the voice of clarity for our clients, and the problem-solver who turns unexpected delays into swift solutions.
What You'll Do
You will bridge the gap between the office and the site, ensuring that every project hits its milestones without compromising on quality or safety.
Master the Programme:
Develop, review, and manage construction programmes (using ASTA/ MSP) and ensure site teams are producing short-term "look-ahead" schedules that stay perfectly aligned.
Commercial Oversight:
Work hand-in-hand with the commercial team to draft subcontract orders, agree on budgets, and manage costs to avoid unnecessary expenditure.
Client Relations:
Lead progress meetings and deliver high-quality monthly reports that give our clients total confidence in our delivery.
Team Integration:
Act as the primary link between in-house trades (groundworks, brickwork, and dry lining) and third-party stakeholders to ensure everyone understands their mission.
Standards & Compliance:
Uphold the company standard for H&S and Quality Assurance (QA), ensuring every project is compliant and documented to the highest degree.
What You'll Bring
Technical Expertise:
Proven experience in preparing and reviewing project programmes
Agility:
The ability to look ahead, anticipate delays, and find creative, cost-effective solutions under pressure.
Communication: A talent for translating complex project requirements into clear instructions for site teams and professional updates for clients.
Collaboration:
A "one team" mindset, with the ability to liaise effectively across technical, commercial, and supply chain departments.
Commitment: A rigorous approach to Health & Safety and policy compliance.
My client value the expertise their whole team brings to the table. You will have the autonomy to manage budgets and timescales, the support of a dedicated wider team, and the opportunity to work on projects where your impact is visible every single day. Fully committed to your professional development this a opportunity to really make your mark and be a strategic leader of this growing organisation.
