Location: Maidstone (Projects across the South & London)
Salary: 70,000 basic + 5,000 car allowance

Overview

A well-established M&E Subcontractor is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to deliver mechanical services projects from inception through to final handover. This is a senior role within a business that benefits from a strong internal support infrastructure across commercial, procurement, design, and technical teams.

Projects are typically valued up to 10 million and span Commercial, MOD, MOJ, Healthcare, and Education sectors across the South and London.

Key Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of mechanical projects from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover

• Manage project planning, programming, and resource allocation

• Work closely with procurement, commercial, and design teams, supported by a robust internal infrastructure

• Manage and coordinate mechanical subcontractors and suppliers

• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders

• Control costs, variations, and commercial reporting in collaboration with the commercial team

• Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality, and regulatory standards

• Lead internal and external project meetings

• Oversee commissioning activities and ensure successful project handover and close-out

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager within M&E or building services

• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems

• Experience delivering projects from inception to handover, including projects up to 10 million

• Experience working on Commercial, MOD, MOJ, Healthcare, or Education projects (desirable)

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

• Good commercial and contractual awareness

• Willingness to travel across the South and London
