Buyer, Supply Chain​/Logistics

ACR are currently looking to recruit an experienced Buyer to work for one of our reputable house building clients located in Kent. This is a temporary position lasting between 4-6 weeks.

Duties include:

• Procurement of materials in accordance with specification, budget and site programme.
• Maximise profitability and minimise risk.
• Collate issue, receive and review tenders and return quotations.
• Understand drawings, specifications and techniques.
• Attend review meetings with supply chain and commercial team.
• Identify and resolve deficiencies in project documentation and information such as drawings and specifications.
• Identify items of financial / contractual implications and respond appropriately.
• Ensure regular communications and development of supplier relationships.
• Negotiate Maintain annual deals with suppliers including rebates and discounts.
• Recover or cause to be recovered rebates.
• Maintain and update price library for Materials and Subcontractors.
• Maintain and update Standard House Type Materials Schedules.
• Continually monitor market place and advise of alternative or new materials and methods which will increase profitability of the company.
