Cardiac Practitioner​/Scientist

Overview

The Trust offers a range of invasive and non-invasive investigations including Physiologist led exercise stress testing, tilt testing, ambulatory monitoring, device follow-up and complex invasive procedures including angiography, PCI, PPM, ICD / CRT implantation and EP. The Tunbridge Wells Hospital site holds BSE Departmental Accreditation in Transthoracic echocardiography, Stress Echo, TOE, Contrast and Bubble Studies. We run a Physiologist Led Valve Clinic at both sites and assist in the Rapid Access Heart Failure Clinic.

The Maidstone site is currently in the process of applying for accreditation. We also run a physiologist lead ILR implant service. Due to a rapidly expanding cardiology service, significant investment is planned for the service. This will provide an exciting opportunity to be involved in the cutting edge of cardiology and to help shape future cardiac services in Kent. The post holder will be given an opportunity to work towards BHRS accreditation.

Continued professional and personal development is actively encouraged, and the successful candidate will be given opportunities and supported to develop their postgraduate skills.

The successful applicant should have BSc (Hons) or MSc Healthcare Science (Cardiac Science). Practitioner or scientist registration is desirable.
