An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full‑time Finance Officer based in Maidstone.
This role will provide a comprehensive forecasting, reporting, budgeting and analytical service to Kent and Essex Police. The post‑holder will be responsible for establishing, validating and evidencing year‑end accruals and prepayments, and for delivering high‑quality financial support to Budget Managers across the Force. This includes assisting with budget formulation and offering informed, proactive financial advice.
This role will assist with the development and maintenance of departmental financial management systems to maintain and enhance the standards of financial awareness.
The role will offer flexibility in terms of place of work, with potential to work from home. If home working is agreed, a requirement to attend a designated ‘Team Zone’ location on an average of one or two days a week is expected. The current designated Team Zone is Force Headquarters, Sutton Road, Maidstone. There may be a requirement to visit the IT department at Coldharbour, Maidstone for induction meetings.
