FD Recruit are working exclusively with a UK based, highly respected, award winning, international manufacturing, retail, wholesale and distribution business that is on exciting journey. An interesting opportunity has arisen for a permanent, full-time Financial Planning & Analysis Manager based in Maidstone, Kent. Reporting to, and working directly with, the CFO, the FP&A Manager is responsible for driving budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cashflow and treasury reporting, and data-driven insights to support business decisions.
Managing and preparing accurate group consolidated financial reporting and presentations for timely submission. Oversees financial modelling, business performance analysis, and cross-departmental collaboration to align financial strategies with organizational goals. This role will be working with local and overseas finance teams to ensure compliance with internal control policies and external accounting standards, this is a truly crucial role
- Lead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
- Conduct variance analysis, work with regional sales and functional leaders explaining discrepancies between actual and forecasts.
- Manage and prepare accurate group consolidated financial reporting and presentations.
- Analyze trends, risks, and opportunities to advise on pricing, cost optimization, and growth initiatives
- Responsible for cashflow and treasury reporting, and regular reporting packages to holding companies.
- Support Business Controller on strategic initiatives through ROI analysis and scenario planning.
- Work with and support local and overseas finance teams for timely deliverables of management and statutory reporting.
- Participate and contribute to new system (SAP) implementation projects, aiming at enhancement of finance and business operation and alignment of finance and business objectives
- Managing and developing a small team
- Ability to liaise effectively across all areas of the organisation and business partnering with key managers
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA or QBE Qualified accountant
- Minimum 5-10 years of relevant experience in FP&A, with at least 3 years in a managerial/supervisory role.
- Prior experience in wholesale, distribution, and retail businesses is desirable, but not essential
- Experience in system consolidation and knowledge of IBM FC Cognos platform and BI analytic tools is advantageous.
- Advanced Excel skills and ERP system knowledge, with SAP implementation being a plus.
- Strong business acumen and ability to interpret and analyze business operation data.
- Detailed-minded, accurate, independent, self-motivated, proactive, and organized individual with good interpersonal and influential skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Fluent communication in English and other languages will be an advantage.
- Prior experience of working in an international business is advantageous
- Some travel required to London office, 2 days per month on average
