What you will be doing as a CAD Engineer
In this CAD Engineer position, you will be responsible for producing high-quality 2D and 3D designs that support the delivery of wastewater treatment equipment and associated infrastructure. You will be working closely with engineers and stakeholders to ensure designs are practical, compliant, and buildable.

You will be:

Designing wastewater equipment, pipework, and access solutions
Producing 3D models and layouts using Autodesk Inventor
Generating fabrication and detailed manufacturing drawings
Developing and maintaining accurate 3D CAD models using supplier and industry-standard components
Managing and updating the drawings register and tracking system
Working to agreed deadlines and departmental KPIs
Attending design review meetings and contributing to continuous improvement
This CAD Engineer role offers real technical variety and the chance to see your designs progress from concept through to installation.

What you will need to succeed
To thrive as a CAD Engineer in this role, you will bring a strong technical foundation and a proactive, detail-focused approach.
Essential experience and skills:
At least 2 years' experience using Autodesk Inventor
At least 2 years' experience using AutoCAD (2D)
Experience working with Autodesk Vault
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organisation and planning abilities
High attention to detail with a dynamic working style
Confident using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
A full UK driving licence
Desirable experience:
iLogic within Inventor
Sheet metal design using Inventor
3D rendering experience
Previous experience in the water or wastewater industry

Location, development and working pattern
Full-time, permanent CAD Engineer position
Monday to Friday, 08:00-17:00 (40 hours per week)
