GSL Education are looking for an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a nurturing and inclusive school community in Maidstone. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about helping students with additional needs develop confidence, independence, and a love of learning.

Key Responsibilities of the SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA):

Provide personalised support to students with a range of additional learning needs.
Assist teachers in planning and delivering targeted learning activities.
Create a safe, positive, and engaging environment for students.
Encourage independence, emotional resilience, and positive behaviour.
Follow individual support plans and uphold safeguarding expectations.
Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals.
Requirements for the SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA):

Experience working with children or adults with SEN is essential.
Applications welcomed from candidates with backgrounds in healthcare, nursery settings, care work, youth work, or activity leadership.
A patient, supportive, and proactive approach.
Ability to adapt to changing needs within the classroom.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
