Overview

Leigh Academy Snowfields is seeking a passionate, dedicated Teacher of Science to join us at our brand-new Minster Campus. This role focuses on developing and delivering a bespoke curriculum to support students on the Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) using a Primary Teaching Model, helping them reach their highest potential within our state-of-the-art facilities. The position offers progression opportunities and is based at Minster Campus with a 24/7 access to a free virtual GP Service and additional LAT benefits within our MAT network and Local Government Pension Scheme.

• Develop and deliver a bespoke Science curriculum aligned to the needs of students on the ASD, using a Primary Teaching Model.
• Support the development of a new, inclusive campus culture and ASD provision from launch (September 2025).
• Collaborate with colleagues across the MAT network to share best practices and drive innovation in SEN delivery.
• Contribute to a supportive, inclusive environment where every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
• Engage in professional development opportunities to grow expertise in SEN and inclusive education.

• Applications welcome from diverse backgrounds, including Primary teachers and those with SEN setting experience.
• We value mainstream teaching experience and do not require specific SEN qualifications.
