Area Sales Manager – Waterproofing and Flat Roofing/ EPDM systems

Mitchell Maguire is a specialist Construction Field Sales Recruitment Consultancy, dealing exclusively with Construction Field Sales Jobs and Specialist Construction Sales positions within Refurbishment, Waterproofing, Roofing Contractors, Roofing Installers, Flat Roofing, Roofing Membrane, Polyurethane Technology, Rubber Roof, Single Ply, Reinforced EPDM Membrane.

• Field sales role selling a distributed range of roof waterproofing systems and reinforced EPDM membranes.
• Sell into roofing contractors and installers on small to medium sized commercial refurbishment projects.
• Project sizes from £10,000-£100,000 (200m²-1000m²) with typical growth target of 10% and revenue of £2m.
• Recruit a minimum of 5 new contractors per quarter with £10,000 spend per annum.
• Inherit an area that has been in decline and build strong relationships with SRI contractors and installers.
• Reinvigorate dormant accounts and develop new accounts through cold calling.
• Calculate material costings on all projects under 100m².
• Work 4 days on the road and 1 day admin per week, meeting KPIs.
• Focus on managing and developing both new and existing roofing contractor relationships.
• Attend trade shows and seminars when required.

• Proven field sales track record within the construction industry.
• Experience selling to contractors, ideally waterproofing or roofing associated contractors.
• Flat roofing / single ply or waterproofing sales experience not essential but advantageous.
• Autonomous, yet a team player.
• High energy and strong commercial acumen, hungry salesperson in the construction industry.
• Capability to handle quotations, take offs and CRM systems.
• Willingness to get up on a ladder onto a roof.
• Excellent account management skills with a desire to bring in new SRI contractors.
• Collaborative with sales and technical team, especially Key Account Manager and Sales Director.
• Well organised and methodical work style.
• Contacts within roofing contractors/roofing installers advantageous.

Remuneration £45,000-£50,000 plus 25% bonus. Fully expensed hybrid car and full benefits. Area to be covered:
Greater London, Anglia, Northern Home Counties, Northamptonshire, Leicestershire and Kent.
