Buyer - Residential House Building

Job Description:

Vision Personnel is looking for a Buyer to join one of our PLC house building clients on a temporary basis of 9 months.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in house building procurement
• Proficiency with COINS software
• Strong knowledge of house building materials, suppliers, and NHBC/build regulations
• Excellent negotiation and commercial skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities

Duties:

• Procurement & Purchasing:
  Source, negotiate, and purchase materials, plant, and subcontract services
• Supplier & Subcontractor Management:
  Build and maintain supplier relationships; monitor performance
• Cost Control & Budget Management:
  Track spend, manage budgets, and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Programme & Logistics Support:
  Schedule deliveries to align with site programmes
• Contract & Compliance:
  Issue purchase orders, ensure compliance with company policies and legislation
• Cross-Department
  
  Collaboration:
  
  Work closely with commercial, technical, and site teams
• Market Awareness & Reporting:
  Monitor trends, identify risks, and provide management reports
