This is an opportunity for an experienced Document Controller to join a highly process-driven, best-in-class delivery team where document control is seen as critical to project success, not an administrative function.
You’ll be working on high-profile projects across London, alongside experienced Project Managers, Construction Managers, and Design Teams who genuinely value strong systems, clarity, and accuracy. This is a role for someone who takes pride in running a project’s information flow flawlessly and wants to continue developing within a professional, structured environment.
The Role You will provide day-to-day oversight of pre-contract and live project document control, managing high volumes of information while maintaining absolute clarity on document status, approvals, and distribution.
The role requires someone who understands the pace of live construction projects and can prioritise intelligently, communicate clearly, and keep project teams moving.
Key Responsibilities
Provide full document control support from pre-contract through to project completion
Set up and manage project systems from site commencement
Manage and maintain projects, ensuring all protocols and workflows are adhered to
Control, log, distribute, and track a high volume of drawings and documents daily
Ensure all consultants, contractors, and stakeholders publish and receive information correctly
Establish strong working relationships with the Project Manager and Construction Manager
Maintain effective internal and external review cycles with Project and Design Teams
Produce accurate, customised reports on drawing status, O&M manuals, samples, method statements, risk assessments, and related documentation
Ensure timely issue of information to trades, consultants, and professional partners
Manage correspondence, instructions, and formal project communications
Oversee O&M manual approvals, printing, and archiving where required
Archive project documentation in line with company procedures
Support general project administration including reprographics, couriers, and site provisions where required What Makes This Role Different
A process-led environment where Document Control is respected and well-structured
Exposure to high-profile London projects
Work alongside industry-leading professionals
Clear, proven career progression routes, following the same path as others who have progressed internally
A team culture that values competence, accountability, and professionalism About You
Experienced Document Controller within construction or fit-out
Calm under pressure and comfortable managing live projects
Highly organised, proactive, and detail-oriented
Confident working with senior project teams and external consultants
Flexible, positive, and a strong team player
Robust and self-motivated, with pride in doing the role properly If you’re a high-level Document Controller looking to work with a business that does things the right way and offers real long-term development, I’d be keen to speak with you
