We are a small, friendly accountancy practice providing accounting and tax services to a diverse range of clients. We pride ourselves on building strong, long‑term relationships and delivering a personal, high‑quality service.
We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our team on a 12‑month maternity cover, but may extend further depending on work demand. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, can work independently, and is comfortable liaising directly with clients.
Responsibilities- Assisting with the preparation of statutory accounts for limited companies and partnerships
- Assisting with the preparation of corporation tax and personal tax returns
- Carrying out bookkeeping and preparing VAT returns for clients
- Liaising directly with clients and HMRC
- Supporting the team to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of services
Knowledge of a the most common software packages would be preferred.
