Apprentice Commis Chef

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Commis Chef working in one of our Partnership Hotels, you will be part of a talented kitchen brigade, helping to provide aConcat first‑class experience for partners and guests. You’ll work under the direction of the Head/Sous Chef but will also have opportunities to work independently, taking responsibility and developing your career. In addition to your contractual pay, any time worked between 22:00 and 06:00 attracts Night Premium at £4.00 per hour, applying also to existing partners with Enhanced Hours Premium arrangements.

• Assist the Head Chef & Sous Chef in planning, producing and delivering the hotel food offer and agreed food presentation standards, keeping pace with current trends and customer demand.
• Work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Meet all legislative requirements for the catering environment, including allergen management.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment, cleaning schedules, temperature checks and adhere to all food safety policies.

• Professional kitchen experience.
• Basic computer skills.
• Great customer service.
• Ability to multitask and prioritise.

• City & Guilds 706 1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent.
• Food Hygiene Certificate Level 2.

Pay: £26,200.00 – £38,000.00 Annual

Contract Type:
Permanent

Hours of Work: 45 hours per week – Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday – 11:00‑21:00. Flexibility with a mix of mid and early shifts may be required.
