Cookham Dean Church of England Voluntary Aided Primary School is a very successful village school, situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, caring and hard working person to join our small, friendly and supportive team.

Hours of work
: 7.00‑8.30 am to open and 5.30‑6.30 pm to close school.

Key responsibilities
:

• Secure the premises, perform general maintenance work and repairs, and address health and safety issues relating to the buildings.
• Provide porterage duties, including regular bending, lifting, carrying of equipment, materials, and furniture.
• Climb ladders as required.
• Assist with school activities around key events in the calendar (parents evening, governing body meetings, school fairs, etc.).

Requirements
:

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• DIY skills and ability to perform physical tasks.
• Positive, hardworking attitude and commitment to high standards of service delivery and customer care.
• Flexibility around certain key events in the school calendar.
• Willingness to provide written references; references will be taken up and made available to interviewers before the final selection stage.
