Job Description:Job Summary
The Middleware Administrator will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining enterprise middleware platforms, including IBM Web Sphere Application Server (Traditional and Liberty) and Oracle Web Logic Server.
This role requires strong Linux expertise, advanced troubleshooting skills, and experience automating operational tasks.
The administrator will support enterprise applications by ensuring reliable, secure, and high-performance middleware environments.
Key Responsibilities- Install, configure, and maintain IBM Web Sphere Application Server (Traditional and Liberty).
- Install, configure, and maintain Oracle Web Logic Application Server (v14.x).
- Troubleshoot complex middleware and infrastructure issues across Linux environments.
- Perform routine administration, performance tuning, and environment optimization.
- Automate common administrative tasks using scripting tools (Shell, wsadmin, etc.).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support deployments, configurations, and middleware upgrades.
- Maintain documentation for installation processes, configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and best practices.
- Monitor middleware environments to ensure reliability, availability, and performance.
- Strong hands-on experience with Web Sphere and Web Logic middleware administration.
- Experience working with Apache on Linux platforms.
- Intermediate knowledge of the Linux operating system.
- Expert-level knowledge of IBM Web Sphere Application Server (Traditional and Liberty).
- Intermediate-level knowledge of Oracle Web Logic Application Server.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex middleware and system-level issues.
- Experience scripting and automating administrative tasks.
- Experience with Shell scripting for automation.
- Experience with wsadmin scripting for Web Sphere automation.
- Familiarity with enterprise Dev Ops or CI workflows.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts related to middleware environments.
