Pilates and Barre Group Exercise Instructor

Position Summary:

• Under the supervision of the Manager, Medical Fitness, the Group Exercise Instructor is responsible for instructing their assigned exercise classes.

• High school graduate or the equivalent.
• Group Exercise certification required from an organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) including, but not limited to:
  American Council on Exercise (ACE), Aerobics and Fitness.

• Minimum of one year of group exercise teaching experience.

• Maintains current CPR BLS certification.
• Effective group process skills.
• Effective oral and written communication skills to express ideas clearly.
• Effective listening skills.
• Ability to pay attention to details, often changing from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure.
• Ability to function competently in stressful situations and the changing work environment related to changing client needs.
• Ability to work cooperatively with clients, family members, and multidisciplinary team members.
• Ability to utilize effective time management to set priorities, perform job related responsibilities, and respond quickly to emergency situations.
• Ability to use effective analytical and critical thinking skills to problem-solve.

Please note that per diem roles are compensated at a fixed holder rate and fee-for-client rates, which will be discussed during the hiring process.
