Shipping & Receiving Associate
- Examine shipment contents and compare with records, such as picking tickets to verify accuracy.
- Prepare documents such as quality documents, shipping labels, BOLs.
- Work with Quality Control to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, or nonconformance to specifications.
- Pack, seal, crate and label materials for shipping
- Contact carrier representatives to arrange or to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials.
- Determine shipping methods, routes, or rates for materials to be shipped.
- Compare shipping routes or methods to determine which is the most economical.
- Follow safety and quality standards
- Warehouse organization and maintenance
- Other duties as assigned.
- 4+ years of shipping/receiving experience
- 4+ years of inventory management experience
- High school level Math & English literacy
- Ability to lift 60lbs regularly
- Ability to remain on feet for long periods
- Accurate recordkeeping and attention to detail
- Knowledge of OSHA standards
