Chosen Pediatrics Care Par Excellence, PLLC is a fast-growing, newly established pediatric clinic serving the greater Magnolia/Conroe/Spring/The Woodlands/Tomball areas in Texas. We are looking to add a fresh, excited, qualified, and talented professional to our nursing team.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Registered Nurse is responsible for assisting in the delivery of primary health care and patient care in a team-based, patient-centered growing specialty clinic; provides clinical support to medical practitioners, assists the practitioner in the performance of Medical Procedures, and conducts follow-up with the patients concerning lab and other test results; performs phlebotomy work and injections; manages patient records; acts as a liaison between the patient, hospital, other providers and the practitioners.

We offer competitive pay, PTO/Vacation, sick, and holiday pay. Weekends and holidays off. The rate of pay is based on experience and credentials.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor s Degree is the minimum requirement for this position.
  • A Nursing Degree certificate is required for this position. (Proof of certification is required).
  • Training competence equivalent to five (5) years of experience drawing blood and administering vaccines to pediatric patients.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • MUST have three (3) years of experience drawing blood and administering vaccines in a pediatric care setting. Performs routine blood drawing procedures, including venipuncture, and techniques using standard equipment, including vacutainer tubes and sleeves, tourniquets, syringes, and butterfly needles.
  • MUST have three (3) years of experience using electronic medical records systems such as eClinical

    Works. Maintains patient files, records, and other information.
  • Documents in vaccine, laboratory, and medication inventory logs, logs of refrigerator and freezer temps as required.
  • Prepares patients for examination and treatment, including taking histories, weight/height measurements, and vital signs.
  • Administers prescribed medications, including routine immunizations, therapeutic injections, and inhalation medications via nebulizer under the direction of a provider.
  • Maintains the inventory of supplies and informs the designated person of needed supplies.
  • Prepares exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments; prepares and maintains supplies and equipment for treatments, including sterilization; performs terminal cleaning of exam rooms.
  • Assists with diagnostic tests, treatments, and referrals.
  • Follows standing order procedures as indicated by practice.
  • Proficient in communicating with patient families regarding medical questions and care via telephone. Must be able to relay pertinent information to medical providers efficiently.
  • Performs administrative assistant duties such as insurance verification and appointment scheduling.
  • Assists providers in preparing for minor procedures.
  • Assists in maintaining compliance with quality assurance standards, including CLIA.
EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES
  • Minimum of three (3) professional references (supervisors, teachers, owners, bosses, trainers) from your most recent employers (No exceptions). No co-workers or staff from other departments can be substituted.
  • Good organizational skills to handle multiple priorities while remaining professional and calm.
  • Ability to work with many diverse people.
  • Effective telephone skills.
  • Strong level of confidentiality due to the sensitivity of materials and information handled.
  • Must be able to make suggestions on workflow or system efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ability to work independently and be self-directed and flexible.
  • Ability to prioritize.
  • Ability to perform functions with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work at a high-volume level of accuracy.
