Full Charge Bookkeeper

Description

Our client, a growing multi-location restaurant franchise organization, is seeking a Full Charge Bookkeeper to support end-to-end accounting operations across multiple concepts and locations. This is an immediate need for an experienced accounting professional who can independently manage full-cycle bookkeeping, payroll, and financial reporting in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

This role requires strong Quick Books Online experience, hands-on restaurant or multi-entity accounting exposure, and a solid understanding of GAAP.

Schedule & Work Environment

+ Monday-Friday

+ Flexible schedule: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

+ Onsite

+ Smart casual dress code

Key Responsibilities

+ Manage full-cycle bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, and bank reconciliations

+ Maintain and reconcile the general ledger in accordance with GAAP

+ Prepare financial statements, balance sheets, and internal management reports

+ Perform detailed account analysis and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and data integrity

+ Process payroll for approximately 120 employees and support payroll-related tax filings and compliance

+ Record, track, and review transactions within Quick Books Online

+ Assist with budget tracking and financial planning initiatives

+ Maintain organized financial documentation using double-entry bookkeeping principles

+ Support external audits by preparing schedules and providing supporting documentation

+ Stay current on accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices within the restaurant industry

Requirements

Required Qualifications

+ Strong hands-on experience with Quick Books Online

+ Solid understanding of GAAP and accounting fundamentals

+ Proven experience with:

+ Bank reconciliations

+ Balance sheet reconciliations

+ Account reconciliations

+ Proficiency in:

+ Journal entries

+ Debits and credits

+ Double-entry bookkeeping

+ Account analysis

+ Payroll processing experience, including payroll tax compliance

+ Ability to produce accurate, timely financial reports

+ Strong organizational and time-management skills

+ High attention to detail and accuracy

+ Ability to work independently and handle confidential information

+ Strong data entry skills (10-key preferred)
