Branch International is Looking for:

Branch is seeking a talented Senior Dev Ops Engineer to take ownership of our cloud infrastructure and Dev Ops operations. In this role, you will oversee the design, deployment, and optimization of our AWS-based infrastructure, ensuring seamless orchestration of workloads across Kubernetes and serverless environments like AWS Lambda.

You will play a pivotal role in automating processes, enhancing system reliability, and driving the adoption of Dev Ops best practices. Collaborating closely with our Engineering, Product, and Data teams, you'll contribute to scaling our infrastructure and supporting our rapid growth. This position offers a unique opportunity to refine your technical expertise in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS using best practices and modern tools, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
Manage and optimize containerized applications using Kubernetes to maintain high availability and performance.
Build, monitor, and enhance CI/CD pipelines to streamline development workflows and accelerate deployments.
Continuously monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement optimizations to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.
Implement security best practices, including IAM configurations, VPC design, and automated compliance checks, to safeguard infrastructure.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide infrastructure support and promote
Dev Ops best practices across the organization.
Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering their professional growth and ensuring knowledge-sharing across the team.
Create and maintain detailed documentation for infrastructure architecture, deployment processes, and operational procedures.

Qualifications

A minimum of 4 years of experience in Dev Ops or a similar role, with a strong background in cloud infrastructure and automation.
Experience leveraging modern AI tools for efficiency and effectiveness.
Strong experience with Security and Sec Ops including proactive automated testing and monitoring
Extensive experience working with AWS, including services like EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda and ECS.
Proficiency in using Terraform for infrastructure as code, with a deep understanding of best practices for managing cloud resources.
Expertise in managing Kubernetes clusters, including deployment, scaling, and maintenance of containerized applications.
Strong programming and scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or similar, to automate tasks and workflows.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Circle

CI, Jenkins, Git Lab CI/CD, or AWS
Code Pipeline to streamline deployments.
Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Data Dog, Prometheus, Grafana, or AWS Cloud Watch to ensure system reliability.
Experience driving projects focused on improving the security posture of cloud-native systems like AWS, including IAM, VPCs/Security Groups, IDS, SIEM, KMS, and tools like AWS Guard Duty
Deep expertise in secrets management lifecycle and tooling, with practical experience implementing best practices.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams. Enthusiasm for working across cultures, functions, and time zones to drive alignment and deliver results.
A passion for mentoring and supporting junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
