The opportunity

This role has primary responsibility for providing a high-quality payroll quality payroll service, managing benefits, and overseeing HR administration, being in close contact with our employees and external HR providers.

This role would suit a service-oriented individual with excellent attention to detail strong organizational skills, combined with a genuine interest in all HR related topics. Being able to use extreme discretion to work with confidential information is key. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required, as you will provide guidance to our employees with their questions on payroll, benefits and other HR related matters.

Some of the responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Compensation and benefits:

  • Provide all payroll elements monthly to the external payroll provider. Ensure accurate monthly output from payroll to finance.
  • Administer employee benefits.
  • Annual bonus calculations check and producing of bonus payment letters.
  • Absence management.
  • Staff costs budget preparation.

Employee lifecycle:

  • Coordinate and follow-up pre-employment screening.
  • Produce and manage contracts of employment.
  • Manage car fleet.

Legal and compliance:

  • Update working regulations, policies.
  • Monthly reporting (FTE, absenteeism).
  • Prepare ad hoc reporting documents.
  • Collaborate with Finance Control on invoice processing and related administrative tasks.
  • Process HR related invoices.

Training, development and performance management:

  • Manage Training overview.
  • Performance rating administration and calculations.

Safety and prevention:

  • Support teambuilding activities, special recognition.
  • Support diversity & inclusion initiatives.

This job will typically be measured with the following KPI’s:

  • KPI’s met in accordance with agreed performance measures, ie:
  • Timely and accurate delivery of all required monthly activities.
  • Achieving set personal goals.
  • Maintain effective control environment - personal compliance with legal, regulatory and policy requirements.
  • Feedback from employees, colleagues, and external suppliers.
  • Personal application of living the Intact Insurance Europe values (love simplicity, better every day, do the right thing, boundless ambition).
The expertise you bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR with 2 years’ experience in similar HR role or equal through experience.
  • Excellent language skills:
    English and Dutch is highly valued.
  • Excellent attention to detail in delivering all aspects of HR administration.
  • Excellent prioritization skills.
  • Experience of working with external payroll providers.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Excel.
  • Track record of working independently.
  • Keeping up to date with latest HR legislation.
  • Pro‑active and willing to learn new things.
