The College for Public Health & Social Justice (CPHSJ) at Saint Louis University is seeking a highly motivated Post Doctoral Research Fellow to join a dynamic, interdisciplinary team working at the intersection of biostatistics, public health, epidemiology, and biomedical sciences. The fellow will work alongside Dr. Leslie McClure, Dean of CPHSJ, and contribute to the development and application of advanced statistical methodologies to analyze large-scale health-related datasets and support collaborative research projects in areas such as clinical trials, observational studies, and health services research.

The fellow will have the opportunity to pursue their own independent research in a mentored environment. This is a grant-funded, 12-month appointment and length of appointment is contingent on continued funding.
** PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
*** Engage in processes to support clinical trials, such as development of standard operating procedures, data management, study implementation.
* Design and implement statistical analyses for ongoing and new research studies.
* Develop novel statistical methods to address complex biomedical and public health problems.
* Collaborate with clinical and scientific investigators to refine research questions and ensure the appropriate use of statistical techniques.
* Participate in the preparation of manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals.
* Contribute to the development of grant proposals and progress reports.
* Pursue independent research opportunities.
* Present findings at scientific conferences and departmental seminars.
* Mentor graduate students and/or research assistants as appropriate.
** REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
*** Doctoral degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, Epidemiology, or a relevant Public Health field.
* Strong background in statistical modeling, inference, and data analysis.
* Proficiency in statistical analysis software such as Stata, R, SAS or Python.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Experience analyzing real-world health, clinical, or biomedical data.
* Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented research environment.
** PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
*** Prior experience in one or more of the following areas: longitudinal data analysis, survival analysis, spatial methods, machine learning, or clinical trials.
* Experience working on NIH-funded or other federally funded research projects.
* Familiarity with tools for reproducible research.
* Publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
* Track record of research productivity or strong potential for producing high-quality research outputs.
* Familiarity with ethical considerations in research.
