Key responsibilities:
- Creating transparency on profitability for inland multicarrier at shipment, customer and area level, with large scope and/or complexity.
- Ensuring finance and job costing controls are followed and that a proper mindset on revenue assurance and standards is in place.
- Acting as an active member of the Finance team, bridging upstream process and financial control.
- Being an independent influencer and/or decision maker on process changes impacting directly our bottom line and aiming to improve our area business performance.
- Acting as a bridge with Finance to ensure that reporting reflects a true and fair representation of the underlying business.
- Providing insight in and governance over financials on inland multicarrier execution, in line with the standards.
- Detecting revenue leakages and implementing corrective measures.
- Working with FBP analysing cube adjustments, ensuring actuals follow and address deviations monthly.
- Overseeing and controlling the accrual process, in coordination with relevant GSC teams.
- Optimising financial and delivery KPIs, dashboards and ensuring backlogs are effectively kept low and in control, in close cooperation with Area Delivery Manager and Area FBP.
- Supporting profitability analysis, reviewing margins and ensuring accuracy according to buying and selling rates.
- Contributing to form business decisions and enabling follow‑up on such decisions including margin improvements.
- Performing risk and compliance assessment to ensure necessary documentary evidence, records are created and provided as required in the RICC Manual, fraud guidelines and other applicable APMM guidelines as far as it covers operational/cx controls.
- Addressing deficiencies and/or audit findings and ensuring their resolution.
- Participating in the implementation of upstream process improvements in line with the standards and controls.
- Ensuring finance governance on new or adjusted customer/system/supplier implementations.
- Supporting TMS and/or NFTP implementation for in‑scope entities and ensuring we keep the finance control at and after going live.
We are looking for:
- Strong stakeholder management and indirect leadership skills.
- Result‑driven, strong logical & analytical capacity.
- Well organised with high attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of processes within L&S and IS.
- Bachelor degree in finance/engineering/science or related field.
- Experience with TMS, Tesalo, JDE, SAP, S4H, SAC, FACT, BW – a clear advantage.
- Team player, can act with teams regionally, locally as well as the GSC.
- Can work independently.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, strong integrity.
- Experience working in a challenging, fast‑paced and changing environment dealing with a lot of different tasks at the same time.
- Fluent in English.
