About the gig
We are looking for a dynamic, talented and experienced Dev Ops Lead Teacher to take over an ongoing bootcamp for one of our customers in Azerbaijan. This is a collaboration between Ironhack, IDDA, and the State Agency of Azerbaijan as part of the IT Skill Sprint initiative. We need someone passionate about Dev Ops and Cloud Engineering who loves sharing their expertise with aspiring engineers.
As the Lead Teacher, you will lead, inspire, and educate university students, helping them gain the skills and knowledge they need to excel in this rapidly evolving field.
- Develop the curriculum: design lessons, labs, exercises, and projects for the remaining weeks
- Oversee the whole academic experience of the Ironhack bootcamp
- Facilitate a safe, supportive, and energetic community that welcomes the various needs and learning styles of your students
- Challenge students to think strategically as they turn their ideas into real projects
- Collaborate with Program Managers, Project Managers and the customer to ensure that students achieve their professional goals
- Administer assessment tasks and give students timely and accurate feedback on learning outcomes
- Prepare lesson plans that are balanced and meet the needs of the group and adjusts lesson plans to take account of learning success and difficulties
- Alternate between teaching classroom versus pairs or groups giving clear instructions
- Responsible for teaching and creating the curriculum based on the syllabus designed by our global education team
- Plan the lessons according to the bootcamp objectives
- Successfully create new techniques and materials for the class
- Effectively lead teaching and learning activities to ensure that students reach the learning outcomes set by Education Team
- To create a sense of community / Participate in the student experience
- Facilitate a supportive and energetic community that lasts well beyond the course
- +3 years of experience in Dev Ops, Cloud Engineering, SRE, or Platform Engineering with good knowledge of:
- Cloud Computing on Azure: VMs, VNets, load balancers, databases (SQL, Cosmos
DB) - Infrastructure as Code:
Terraform (providers, modules, state management) - Configuration Management:
Ansible (playbooks, roles, Vault) - Containerization & Orchestration:
Docker, Kubernetes (AKS), Helm - CI/CD & Dev Sec Ops :
Git Hub Actions, SAST/DAST, image scanning - Git Ops:
ArgoCD or Flux - Observability:
Prometheus & Grafana - Foundations:
Linux, Git, networking, scripting (Bash/Python)

- Fluent in English, as the classes will be imparted in that language
- You are passionate about Dev Ops and Cloud Engineering

- Bootcamp dates:
Joining March/April 2026 (program started February, runs 20 weeks total) - Format:
Part-time teaching bootcamp - Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 10:30 AM Baku time (GMT+4)
- Delivery:
Remote + 4 weeks on-site in Baku, Azerbaijan 2 weeks in April + 2 weeks in July.
Please note these trips are subject to confirmation based on airline availability.
