Overview
The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for the direct and indirect nursing care of all patients ranging in age from 18 years to geriatric. Upon request of the physician, will set up and operate various types of respiratory care equipment to be utilized in the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory disease and/or illness. Conduct physician prescribed treatments, including but not limited to handheld nebulizer therapy and various nasal oxygen devices to administer prescribed medicinal vapors and gases, humidity, various oxygen concentrations to the respiratory system of the patient, and chest physical therapy treatments.
Looking to increase our PRN night shift pool.
- Must be Credentialed by The National Board of Respiratory Care as a CRT or RRT.
- Must be licensed to practice in Kentucky.
- BLS required upon hire.
- ACLS required within 90 days of hire.
- 3 to 5 years of working experience in an acute care environment or critical care experience preferred but not mandatory.
