Distribution Services Specialist Job Madison area,Wisconsin USA,Warehouse

Job Objective

To ensure timely receipt, safe and efficient recording, handling and distribution of materials throughout Promega's Madison campus warehouses.

Core Duties

Receive, deliver and initiate transfer of materials between Promega warehouses to ensure materials reach intended recipients on time.

Maintain warehouse inventory records.

Manage/maintain Promega warehouses keeping them in a clean and orderly condition.

Operate equipment proficiently and safely.

Able to adjust to the changing needs and demands of the department as communicated by Supervisor.

Understand and comply with ethical, legal and regulatory requirements applicable to our business.

Participate in the annual physical inventory.

Take on special assignments as requested.

Able to cover at least 1 other area within DS department after being fully trained to do so.

Key Qualifications

High School diploma or proven work experience that ensures you are ready to be successful in this role.
Self‑directed individual, willing to work in a team‑driven environment.
Strong customer service orientation.
Ability to work effectively with a broad range of departments.
Ability to learn material handling equipment.

Ability to work independently with minimum guidance.
Ability to effectively prioritize work assignments, easily adapt to the changing needs of the position.

Ability to maintain a productive working atmosphere, friendly and cooperative.

Physical Demands

Ability to work with a computer in an interactive manner for extended periods of time.

Ability to operate warehouse equipment.

Ability to drive a delivery vehicle or a forklift.

Ability to daily move and transport objects weighing up to 40 pounds.

Ability to regularly reach for objects.

Ability to use ladders throughout the day.

Capable of remain stationary and move for extended periods of time during the day.
