Job Description

Food and food service delivery drivers play a critical role in the country’s food supply chain. Our delivery drivers ensure that customers’ products arrive on time and in good condition, and they represent the company to customers.

• $90,000/Year Average.
• Early morning start, Monday - Friday, no nights, no weekends.

Drive a tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes to deliver food and food-related products securely and on schedule, complying with Department of Transportation regulations.

• Communicates and interacts with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally.
• Functions as a team member within the department and organization.
• Performs required safety checks (pre/post trip) and ensures compliance with DOT regulations.
• Reports all safety issues and/or repairs required.
• Follows all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies.
• Inspects trailer for properly loaded and secured freight.
• Counts items and verifies customer invoices of products loaded.
• Completes required paperwork accurately and legibly.
• Moves tractor to the loading dock and attaches preloaded trailer as needed.
• Drives to and delivers customer orders according to predetermined route schedule.
• Unloads products from the trailer and transports items into designated customer storage areas.
• Performs damage control checks, scans, and contacts supervisor as needed.
• Verifies delivery of items with customer and obtains proper signatures.
• Collects money (cash or checks) where required; loads customer returns onto trailer.
• Ensures that tractor, trailer, and freight are appropriately locked and/or secured.
• Unloads damaged goods and returns and records necessary paperwork.
• Completes daily record of hours of service and enters log per federal, state, and company requirements.
• Performs general housekeeping duties in tractor, loading dock area and keeps trailers clear and clean.
• At the end of the shift secures all equipment and completes necessary paperwork.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent, 6+ months commercial driving, Valid CDL‑A, 21+ years of age.

• Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years.
• Pass post‑offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Pass road test.
• Attains or has valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card.
• Able to hand‑lift and utilize two‑wheeler, lift gate and/or other equipment; product ranges 10–35 pounds and up to 60–90 pounds.
