Job Description
Food and food service delivery drivers play a critical role in the country’s food supply chain. Our delivery drivers ensure that customers’ products arrive on time and in good condition, and they represent the company to customers.
Position Details- $90,000/Year Average.
- Early morning start, Monday - Friday, no nights, no weekends.
- Average 50 hours per week.

Drive a tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes to deliver food and food-related products securely and on schedule, complying with Department of Transportation regulations.
Primary Responsibilities- Communicates and interacts with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally.
- Functions as a team member within the department and organization.
- Performs required safety checks (pre/post trip) and ensures compliance with DOT regulations.
- Reports all safety issues and/or repairs required.
- Follows all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies.
- Inspects trailer for properly loaded and secured freight.
- Counts items and verifies customer invoices of products loaded.
- Completes required paperwork accurately and legibly.
- Moves tractor to the loading dock and attaches preloaded trailer as needed.
- Drives to and delivers customer orders according to predetermined route schedule.
- Unloads products from the trailer and transports items into designated customer storage areas.
- Performs damage control checks, scans, and contacts supervisor as needed.
- Verifies delivery of items with customer and obtains proper signatures.
- Collects money (cash or checks) where required; loads customer returns onto trailer.
- Ensures that tractor, trailer, and freight are appropriately locked and/or secured.
- Unloads damaged goods and returns and records necessary paperwork.
- Completes daily record of hours of service and enters log per federal, state, and company requirements.
- Performs general housekeeping duties in tractor, loading dock area and keeps trailers clear and clean.
- At the end of the shift secures all equipment and completes necessary paperwork.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent, 6+ months commercial driving, Valid CDL‑A, 21+ years of age.
- Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
- Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years.
- Pass post‑offer drug test and criminal background check.
- Pass road test.
- Attains or has valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card.
- Able to hand‑lift and utilize two‑wheeler, lift gate and/or other equipment; product ranges 10–35 pounds and up to 60–90 pounds.
$90,000/Year Average.
