Responsibilities
  • The Shuttle Driver is responsible for transporting guests to and/or from the hotel, hospital or casino and local area in a friendly, efficient and courteous manner using safe driving practices.
  • Assist guests with luggage, including delivery and pick up of guest luggage during arrival and departure.
  • Maintain vehicle activity and maintenance logs.
  • Shuttles guests to appropriate places approved by manager and client contact; learn and remember pick-up and destination points; know property outlets, meeting rooms, amenities, main attractions in the area, and parking rates.
  • Communicate by telephone, two-way radio and in person in a courteous, friendly and professional manner with all guests, location staff and co-workers. Acknowledge and greet guests promptly and use appropriate salutations.
  • Operate vehicles as required, inspect them at the start of shifts for proper operation, monitor condition, record malfunctions or damage and report to management.
  • Protect guest confidentiality and maintain security of client financial and identifying information. Assist patrons with entering and exiting the vehicle. May be required to use specialized equipment such as wheelchair lifts and check wheelchairs for safe operation.
Compensation & Schedule

Starting pay $20 per hour. Work Schedule: Monday and Friday, 4:15am to 11:30am;
Monday and Friday 2:15pm to 5:30pm; and/or Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 2:15pm to 5:30pm. The hourly base pay range for this position is $20 per hour.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

  • Must possess a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger endorsement issued by the state in which the associate will be performing shuttle driver services.
  • Must pass a criminal background, MVR and drug screen and other client requirements.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age due to vehicle leasing contract requirements.
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license at all times and pass annual/semiannual MVR checks.
  • Must complete the Wheelchair Safety Training course provided by Towne Park as applicable and possess a current Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
  • Must maintain up-to-date license and DOT endorsements and a bi-annual physical exam as applicable.
  • Work Experience: At least three years of commercial driving experience or nine years of driving experience as a licensed driver.
  • Knowledge: Ability to drive a manual transmission.
  • Skills: Ability to read and write standard English; comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos; present information effectively in one-on-one and small group settings; perform basic arithmetic; understand 24-hour and military time; understand applicable rates.

Working Conditions

The majority of work may be performed outdoors for extended periods, including weather exposure. Travel up to 5% may be required.
